Who is Ludo Thijssen

I am Ludo Thijssen and I was born in Amsterdam on January 15, 1955. Ludo is my call name. I have 2 first names that I only use on official documents. I am a science fiction enthusiast and am inspired by the Thunderbirds. A puppet show series set in the near future. In most episodes, technology is used to help humans. Helping people is a main goal for me, but I understand that helping people in this way is not the solution. People are made dependent and that is a commercial approach. Sharing knowledge is the solution, he says. People should not be dependent but should be able to take responsibility for themselves in an honest way, without harming others. There are always people who will misuse knowledge for their own gain and we can only resist this together.

He is currently working on a bio-installation that makes houses self-sufficient . This means that a house can provide its own energy, water and heating / cooling.

Personally, he believes that everyone should have access to that knowledge in order to build such an installation. Then our CO₂ production could actually be reduced.

From an economic point of view, this also has advantages because these installations have to be maintained, which will therefore generate a lot of jobs, especially if the installation is also produced locally.
That is why it was decided to develop this installation as Open Source .

Currently I work for the foundation "Foundation For A Better World" / ffabw .org which is to arrange the financing and development of such Open Source Products.
